Art Nouveau jewelry was distinctly French. Its artists reimagined orchids, dragonflies, ferns, serpents, and the female form in large, bold designs.
Enamel was central, while amber, agate, freshwater pearls, and opals played supporting roles. Artists also experimented with unconventional materials such as copper, horn, and shell.
