Mid-century Modern jewelry (1950 through 1965) provided artists with an exciting new outlet for fantastic jewelry designs.
The clean lines, bold abstract geometric shapes, along with textured gold, Florentine finishes, mesh, twisted rope, reeding, braided wire, fluting, and piercing were sensational. Amethyst, Coral, Turquoise, Cultured Pearl, and Diamonds finished out these pieces that offered an atomic age appeal. Themes of Starburst, celestial, organic, animal, and nature were common.
