Victorian jewelry originated during Queen Victoria’s reign (1837–1901).

Victorian Jewelry drew on renaissance, medieval, and natural themes. More gold enabled sturdier pieces with floral, animal, and other natural motifs.
Materials included gold, seed pearls, ivory, tortoiseshell, coral, onyx, agate, amber, and amethyst.
